CEO: Gazprom Neft likely to pay dividends for January–September
TYUMEN, Sep 20 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Gazprom Neft is likely to pay dividends for January–September, CEO Alexander Dyukov told reporters on Wednesday during the Tyumen industrial and energy forum.
“This is a decision for the board of directors and the shareholders to make. I think that it will be approved most likely. In general, the first nine months should end first, then we should summarize the results, and only then the board of directors would make its decision,” he said.
He also said that the company’s oil shipments through the Northern Sea Route turned out to be profitable, and they would continue in 2024. In the settlements for oil and oil products, the company has been using the ruble and the Chinese yuan as currencies, there are no problems with that, Dyukov said.
Gazprom Neft also raised the amount of oil refining in order to ensure oil product supplies to the national market, he added.
Speaking of the international oil market, Dyukov said that he expected the OPEC+ alliance to raise oil supply on the global market if a deficit of oil emerges in October–December, but at the moment, the oil market was in a balanced state with the oil price staying at a fair and market level.
